Freestanding automatic equipments ERAF189

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

The automatic power-factor correction equipment, ERAF189 series is composed by:

  • Metal CABINET equipped with cooling fans, made of sturdy pressed metal sheets treated with a phosphating process to protect against corrosion and then painted with epoxy powders, colour RAL 7035. Cabinet frame is welded and painted, doors are hinged with safe lock.
  • Each set of capacitors, reactors, contactors and fuses are set on MODULAR trays for easier maintenance.
  • Main three-pole fast-tripping DISCONNECTING SWITCH interlocked with the door.
  • Sets of three FUSES type NH00 curve gG with a high breaking capacity, rated to protect each individual capacitor steps.
  • Three-pole AC6b capacitor duty CONTACTORS, rated for connecting each step.

Their peculiarity lies in the fact that the limiting resistors contacts close in advance of the main contactors, to limit the peak current at the insertion of the residual currents. The contactor coils are 110Vac 50Hz (other voltages available upon request).

  • 525V rated PRT series power CAPACITORS.
  • Internal connecting CABLES are flame-retardant FS17.
  • Copper BARS
  • ELECTRONIC REGULATOR EF12T for automatic battery connection and cost control.
  • Forced VENTILATION SYSTEM made with special thermostat-operated fans installed on the top of the cabinet.
  • Harmonic Blocking REACTORS series RA189 made with Core of topgrade magnetic with low-loss oriented grain sheets. Electrolitic copper conductors windings.

Detuning frequency: 189Hz(p=7%);

Harmonic distortion in current on capacitors and reactors, in continuous operation:

  • In a 150Hz: 3%
  • In a 250Hz: 35%
  • In a 350Hz: 15%
  • In a 550Hz: 5%

Linearity: 2In.
Max harmonic distortion in voltage permitted in network (THD%) ≤ 8%.

USES

The automatic freestanding equipment, ERAF 189 series has been specifically designed for industrial power-factor correction for medium-large-scale operations in networks with harmonic distortion.

INSTALLATION
