Modular units CTF-CTFX

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

The CT series modular units are composed of

  • FRAME in galvanized sheet steel, thickness 20/10 mm
  • Sets of three FUSES type NH00 curve gG with a high breaking capacity, rated to protect each individual capacitor steps.
  • Three-pole AC6b capacitor duty CONTACTORS, rated for connecting each step.

Their peculiarity lies in the fact that the limiting resistors contacts close in advance of the main contactors, to limit the peak current at the insertion of the residual currents. The contactor coils are 110Vac 50Hz (other voltages available upon request).

  • 525V rated PRT series power CAPACITORS.
  • Internal connecting CABLES are flame-retardant FS17.
  • Copper BARS size 30×5 mm for a maximum power of 180kvar 400V. For higher powers, 30×10 mm copper bars are required. (CTX series are provided without copper bars.
  • Harmonic Blocking REACTORS series RA189 made with Core of top-grade magnetic with low-loss oriented grain sheets.

Harmonic distortion in current on capacitors and reactors, in continuous operation:

  • In a 150Hz: 3%
  • In a 250Hz: 35%
  • In a 350Hz: 15%
  • In a 550Hz: 5%

Max harmonic distortion in voltage permitted in network (THD%) ≤ 8%.

 

USES

The CT series modular units have been conceived and designed to be installed extremely easily in automatic power-factor correction equipments.

  • Follow instructions related to installation, connection and periodical maintenance
