Enerlux Power srl capacitors can be equipped with an overpressure control device (commonly known as a pressure switch) to provide a simple and effective protection system against excessive pressure inside the container. If the internal pressure exceeds the critical value, the pressure switch changes the state of the contact (connected to the network disconnection circuit), allowing the capacitor to be disconnected from the network. This disconnection prevents internal decomposition of the capacitor, excessive gas buildup, and potential explosion. This solution, in addition to HRC fuses, is widely used in the protection of simple three-phase capacitors or small banks. The pressure switch is equipped with a rubber protective cap that ensures IP55 protection. The “standard” version is supplied with an NC contact, but an NO/NC changeover contact version is available on request.
