Three-phase capacitors of TFPI.N2 type are the result of the realization of a sole three-phase battery with double star connection in a sole container; such a construction allows the realization of double star Y-Y batteries with unbalance transformer in a sole three-phase capacitor instead of the No 6 single-phase units foreseen by the standard realization. Thus, this application offers an evident economical advantage, a compact construction with a limited size and is particularly indicated to assemble batteries of small power where the unbalance protection is needed as the low cost.
This unit has three bushings for phase connection and two bushings to connect the unbalance transformer. For higher voltages this battery can be made using two three-phase capacitors with a No 1 star center and No 4 bushings (TFPI.N series), where the fourth bushing is related to a sole accessible star center; for higher powers three units of MFPI.D series must be used.
